Incase Reveals New Audio Lineup for September

In case you hadn’t heard, Incase has gotten into the mobile audio business with four sets of sleek new products: one set of in-ear earphones and three over-ear headphones. Incase themselves describe their upcoming audio series as having:

  • Natural Sound
  • Minimal Design
  • Custom Fit

I can’t comment on the first point yet; I agree with the second (based on the site images), but I take a bit of issue with the third. By custom fit, Incase actually means that their earphones make use of memory foam and feature a “wide range of adjustment” – which really sounds to me like most any other decent pair of headphones I’ve used. To me, custom earphones have always meant that someone has gone to a specialized clinic, gotten specific measurements done, and then had a uniquely fitting pair of headphones made for them. That doesn’t seem to be what Incase is offering here, so that third bullet point is just a bit misleading.

As far as pricing goes, it looks like we’ll have to wait until September when the full InCase Audio line hits the market.
