Report Claims Apple Is Set to Release New MacBook Air and Mac Pros Later This Week

enviro_hero_20100727.png9to5Mac is reporting that one of their sources claims that Apple will be introducing new MacBook Airs and Mac Pros this week alongside the much anticipated OS X Lion launch which is rumored to be released this Thursday, July 14th.

No technical specifications are given regarding these machines. Only that both the MacBook Air and Mac Pro will follow a similar configuration scheme as the current models. That is, 11 and 13-inch varieties of MacBook Air, and three stock and one server configuration of the Mac Pro.

It’s been reported for some time now that Apple would be releasing new MacBook Airs alongside the OS X Lion launch. In fact, it was reported that Apple was withholding the MacBook Airs so that they could preinstall Lion on them before shipping. The Mac Pros were also expected to be released around this timeframe, with some reports claiming a late July/early August release timeframe.
