Apple To Temporarily Increase Retail Staff During August and October

CNet UK is reporting that the UK branch of Apple is increasing their retail store staff from August 16th to October 29th, 2011. The position will be “full-time iPhone Sales” which will work 5 days a week, Tuesday through Saturday. The job listing was posted on July 12th, and states that there will be a four day training session from August 9th-12th. I would expect that Apple will be making a similar move in other markets, including the U.S.

This is almost certainly a dead giveaway that the next-generation iPhone will launch sometime in this timeframe. Granted it is a large window, but my guess would be that the iPhone launches in September alongside the expected annual iPod refresh. We’ll see.

In other words, with each passing day, it appears all but certain that the new iPhone will indeed launch this fall.
