Survey Finds that 35% of Customers Polled Plan to Purchase Next-Gen iPhone

Screen shot 2011-03-08 at 1.08.14 AM.pngPriceGrabber recently conducted a survey and found that 35% of some 3000 customers surveyed stated that they will purchase the next-generation iPhone. The survey also finds that 48% of customers prefer iOS, and 19% prefer Android. So there’s that.

Additionally, 59% of customers surveyed stated that improved battery life is their number one new feature request. Following right behind at 56%, was the demand for a lower price point. Other features requested, were a larger screen and better camera.

Lastly, 46% of noted that “4G” compatibility was an important feature. This semi-contradicts a recent report that found that one-third of users already believed that they already had 4G compatibility. With all that said, 4G on the iPhone still seems to be a ways off, as chip manufacturers have not yet created something suitable to be used in the iPhone.

What I find most fascinating about this, is that a large number of consumers are ready and willing to spend cash for a device that they haven’t even seen yet, and Apple hasn’t even acknowledged exists. Amazing.
