OS X Lion Makes Accents As Easy As Tapping and Holding

Here’s to no longer wondering about how to add a particular accent to vowels and consonants in OS X Lion. While you can still hold Option + E to add an acute accent (é), Lion makes the process a lot more iOS-like by simply letting you hold down on a key and then let you choose from the resulting pop-up menu.

It’s probably not quite as fast as using the Option key combo, but it should prove useful for those who can never remember which Twister-like combination of keys results in which can put that little chapeau on vôwêls.
