Apple Working Toward Complete Ban of Samsung Tablets and Phones in EU

Last week Apple was granted a preliminary injunction, which has since been mostly suspended, in the European Union, to halt the sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 on the grounds that the device copies the look and feel of the iPad. This injunction included all EU countries, except for the Netherlands, because Apple already had an ongoing suit for the same reason in that country.

Computerworld is now reporting that the Dutch lawsuit seeks to ban the sale of Samsung Galaxy tablets and phones in the entirety of the European Union. Apple is demanding that Samsung recall their stock within 14 days, provide compensation to their vendors, and put the vendors on notice that the refusal to return stock would be in violation of Apple’s suit.

The case will be heard on September 15, and an the ruling would not go into effect before October, 13th.
