Apple Awards New CEO Tim Cook 1 Million Shares to Remain at Post Until 2021.
Apple has filed a form 8-K with the SEC, which is customary when a major event shareholders should know about takes place, regarding Tim Cook’s appointment to the position of CEO. The most interesting bit of this report is that Cook was awarded 1 million restricted shares in exchange for his continued employment at the company until 2021. Half of the stocks will vest in August of 2016, and the remainder in 2021, if Cook remains at his post until those dates. [Read More]
Apple Releases New Build of 10.7.2 and iCloud to Developers
Apple has seeded yet another build (Build 11C43) of Lion 10.7.2 and accompanying iCloud installer to developers. Just as with previous builds, there are no know issues, and Apple is asking developers to look into such areas as AirPort, AppKit, GraphicsDrivers, iCal, iChat, Mac App Store, Mail, Spotlight, and Time Machine. No doubt Apple is rushing to complete development of both the next update to Lion and iCloud so that they can roll out iCloud syncing this fall, on schedule.
Several New Sources All Claim That Apple-Branded Television Set is on It’s Way
MacRumors has compiled a list of reports from the likes of Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, to Venture capitalist Stewart Alsop, all of which are claiming that Apple is indeed working on their own television set. Apple Successfully Delays Launch of Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia. Again.
As you may know by now, Apple has been battling Samsung, and demanding that their Samsung Galaxy line of devices be banned from sale, both at home and abroad, due to deign infringement. Well, Apple has successfully delayed the launch of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia again. Nearly a month after Samsung agreed to delay the launch and provide Apple with samples. Samsung has agreed, again, to delay the launch at least until September 30th. [Read More]
Sprint Advises Employees to Give ‘No Comment’ In Regards to Next-Generation iPhone
AppleInsider is reporting that SprintFeed has gained access to an internal Sprint memo, which advises their employees to respond to iPhone questions and comments with “no-comment”. Couple this tidbit with a recent report which claimed that the iPhone was headed to Sprint, and you can see the writing on the wall. [Read More]
