MacRumors is reporting on “member only” emails being sent from Idealcase.com, which contain images purportedly comparing the antenna of the rumored to be forthcoming “iPhone 4S” to current GSM and CDMA iPhone 4 antennas.

The iPhone 4S’s antenna is very similar to the iPhone 4’s, however it looks more like a mixture of the CDMA and GSM antenna designs. That is,it has the same four antenna breaks that the CDMA iPhone has, while also sporting a SIM-card slot that the GSM model carries. In the photo the top antenna is labeled “4G” (GSM model), the middle antenna is labeled “5G or 4GS” (iPhone 4GS), and the bottom is labeled CDMA.

Of course, this isn’t the first leaked part we’ve seen of the rumored iPhone 4S. Recently we’ve received reports of a back panel, and front faceplate of this device. The only question remaining is if this is a full-fledged update, or if this device will be replacing the iPhone 3GS in the iPhone hierarchy.
