Report Claims Apple Preparing To Release of Logic Pro X

9A6431D5-76AC-4802-BBE7-844385FAA6FF.jpgMacotakara is reporting that Apple is likely finishing work on a new version of their pro audio editing software, called Logic. The new version would reportedly be called Logic Pro X, and would no longer bundle in the Soundtrack Pro 3 application.

Furthermore, Logic Pro X is believed to include features from other applications that were previously included in the Logic Pro suite. One example would be WaveBurner. They also plan to spin off MainStage functionality in it’s own separate program.

The report does not give a date for when we might expect to see the introduction of the new tool. Nor do they mention when how it will be distributed, but it would be a safe bet to assume customers could purchase the software through the Mac App Store. They do claim that Logic Pro X will not have GarageBand-like user interface.

It would also be a safe bet that the new Logic Pro would bring full 64-bit support. So there’s that.
