More Proof That Due for iPhone and iPad is Better Than Sliced Bread

Now that I’m working retail again, one of the main things I use my iPhone for is keeping track of time during breaks. Clocking in and out at specific times is important, and so I always make sure I use a timer whenever I start a 15- or 30-minute break. The default timer in the Clocks application is sufficient, but the lack of multiple timers is a setback, so I’ve taken to relying on Due to help keep me right on track.

I’ve written a review of Due before, but it has taken this real world retail experience for me to realize just how well designed this application is. Due not only supports multiple timers (and different snooze levels for each timer), but it also keeps track of how much time has passed since the timer first rang. So whereas most other timers will simply ring once and stop, the attention to detail in Due lets me know exactly how late I am in getting back to work. In other contexts, it can tell would-be chefs just how overcooked their meatloaf is, or how many minutes angry your significant other is after you said you’d only play WoW for 30 minutes.

I consider myself a picky person when it comes to software, and there is nothing I would change about Due. It’s one of the most useful apps on my iPhone and iPad, and hands-down one of the top ten purchases I’ve ever made on the App Store.
