Bloomberg is reporting that Sprint will be offering the iPhone in October. Granted, we have already heard this from The Wall Street Journal a few weeks ago, but now more details have emerged, including the fact that Sprint plans to offer unlimited data with the iPhone, something both Verizon and AT&T have dropped over time. They also claim that the new iPhone will launch in mid-october.
The report goes on to note that Sprint will be postponing the launch of a new, competing, 4G phone, in an effort to prepare for the iPhone launch. In fact, Sprint just delayed the launch of the BlackBerry curve 9350 until October, without giving a reason.
So we now have two major news sources claiming that the new iPhone is coming to Sprint when it launches. Add that to the sprinkling of reports that claim the new iPhone is coming to T-Mobile, and from at least a carrier selection standpoint, the next-generation iPhone looks like it’s going to be a hit. Now it’s just a matter of what the device will look like, and the features it will have.
