Report Claims Apple to Issue iOS 5 Beta 8 Friday, GM Build on September 23rd, and Receive Carrier Approval by October 5th, October 10th Release

liosfive.jpgBGR is reporting on information that they have received, which claims that Apple will be rolling out iOS 5 beta 8 this Friday, September 16th. The company will then follow up with a Gold Master Build the following week sometime around September 23rd.

Apple’s carrier partners are then said to be giving final approval to the new OS by October 5th if no issues are found. If a problem were discovered, Apple would then have to scramble and issue a patch alongside the official release of iOS 5.

Also worth noting at this time, is a report from AppleInsider which notes that the AppleCare staff is preparing for a large increase in iOS-related phone calls starting on October 10th. This of course, suggests that iOS 5 will be released on, or around that date. Plus, Apple has traditionally released a new version of their OS the same day new hardware is made available. In other words, expect the new iPhone on the same day as iOS 5, and according to this report, that day will be October 10th.
