They are simply selling the fact that they are “UP” with the tech.

History lesson: Bell missed out on the iPhone (GSM) for the first rollout…almost 2 years because Bell was CDMA. They upgraded to GSM and got the iPhone..obviously a big investment. Then of coarse Apple made a CDMA phone for Verizon this year I think it was. And just like other carriers from the States that are rolling out or have rolled out 4G… Bell is doing the same here in Canada.
Bell has simply called these phones “Superphones” cause its the latest tech thats all….3G is smart 4G is Super.

Don’t knock Bell too hard…they are upgrading all systems all at once. Fibe internet, Fibe TV, 4G and constantly upgrading Expressvu/BellTV. Remember…it wasn’t Bell that put download limits on internet packages first…it was Rogers. It wasn’t Bell that made you sign a “contract for its TV-phone- internet services first…it was Rogers. Bell certainly doesn’t throttle internet speeds on its customers behind their backs…its Rogers, just ask any WOW player. And thats a “Paid ” service…oh my! Bells DSL internet is rock solid, never had any down time at all. Rogers…well its a little faster but you get constant downtime…sometimes just several minutes…sometimes several hours…sometimes days!

So really it doesn’t matter…smart or super, because its always about the software…not the hardware and thats especially true with phones…computers…video game consoles. And thats why Apple’s iOS rules the world…its that simple.

iPhone ads are all touchy-feely because Apple is looking for people who can make emotional bonds. Apple product users either make emotional bonds with their Apple tech or they E-Bay their new Apple toy and buy high spec hardware they can geek out with.
