Today, @Chronicwire has posted images via Twitter, of a third-party case with the designation of “iPhone 4S” on the packaging. Furthermore he claims that Otterbox has pumped out 3 million of these cases for the iPhone 4S, suggesting a strong belief or inside information, that there will be a new iPhone with a iPhone 4-like design.
Where this begins to fall apart, is the fact that Chronic did not have an actual picture of the case, but rather a picture of the box it came in. At any rate, the images on the box show the volume buttons on the right side of the device, and above the SIM-card slot, the iPone 4 has the buttons on the right.
I suppose we’ll find out soon enough, as Apple is rumored to be holding their annual media event on October 4th.
