However, GM *has&* been released but there’s no sign of the 2Do update in the app store — so I’m thinking, release might not happen until iOS 5 is in public release. Either that, or the news of Steve Jobs’ death has really hit Apple employees hard and things are delayed a bit. Either way, it should be in full release by next week at the latest, and will be worth the wait. I have the new version on my device already (a perq of being on the beta team), and the new sync process is awesome.

Thanks for the heads-up, Shelley. I’ve been following 2Do on Twitter and had heard about this update, but forgot to mention it since it isn’t out just yet. Definitely looking forward to it, though.

In v2.6 of the app, the 2Do devs revamped the sync process, due to great user demand.

Sync on Launch no longer generates a sync window that prevents the us
er from doing anything else until the sync is complete. Sync progress is now displayed in a narrow bar at the top of the screen; it’s really fast; and users can use the app normally while sync takes place. Of course, any changes that happen after a sync starts will not be part of that current sync – but users can manually generate a new sync whenever they wish, and all such sync processes occur unobtrusively.

I provide customer and technical support for this app; I was very pleased to read your article, but thought this clarification was important. I’m sure you’ll like 2Do even more with this change to sync processes.
