FYI — @bodyguardz just sent out an email verifying they will have products available for pre-order shortly after launch for the “iPhone 5”. No mention of iPhone 4GS.

GAH! It’s never ending. I had 13 new items in my Mac (not iPhone) RSS folder on Google Reader. 8 of them were predictions posts the rest were from Minimal Mac and another site which rarely touches anything news/rumours.

Here’s the latest:
2 phones. iP5 & iP4GS (with a possible mini version … again)
Jobs will be there to announce instead of Cook.
3GS going free on contact
iOS 5 Assistant with Artifical Intelligence
App Rentals – No joke. They found strings in iTunes…

No mention of unicorns though.

Brandon – well said, LOL. I hate the rumors but read every single one I find. It’s a love hate relationship.

If I had to guess (and if I’m wrong I won’t complain!)
-One iPhone 4S, better camera, speed, maybe LTE
-Facebook – no but maybe an iPad app
-Voice control by Siri – yes and will that rule or what

Either way I’m addicted and will be upgrading my iPhone 4 for one.

I predict that Apple will announce that Jobs has not really retired. They will announce that Cook is actually just a robot being controlled by the mind of Jobs which is sitting in a fancy bubbling jar at the Cupertino headquarters.

At which point I predict stocks will soar to over $1000/share before they plummet shortly thereafter as Apple is subjected to hostile takeover by the government and sold to Ratheon for this new mind control software they have developed. All other product lines will be cancelled and we will all be forced to give up our iPhones immediately and have them replaced by Nokia’s running Windows Mobile 6.5. They would give us all Nokia’s running WP7 Mango, but it is a recession after all and Microsoft cut them a deal on the older software. Oh – and then Apple will be reborn as NextV2 and the will buy WebOS from HP.

This particular bit of obvious mockery of the rumour mill is no more or less asinine than the constant flow of random crap coming from every Apple blog, analyst, and pundit on the interwebz.

Here’s one thing I know to be 100% true. By late tomorrow afternoon at least one major blog / analyst / pundit will be unsatisfied and begin the process of annoying the living crap out of the rest of us for the next 12 months by asking “What didn’t Apple do with this iPhone that they should have, and here’s what we think the next iPhone will look like”.

So, while tomorrow will put the rumours to bed… like an over tired two year old the rumours are just going to stand back up and start screaming all over again.
