In my experience Siri has no problem sifting through my accent (southern Indiana) but some users with a thick accent have been trouble communicating with the digital assistant. A little known feature of Siri is the ability to edit the input (textually) without having to re-speak the query.
Of course, in many instances it would be just as easy to re-ask the question. But, in other instances when Siri is just a word off, this feature offers an quick route to quick corrections.
Now, I have to wonder, does Siri collect and aggregate voice input information and get smarter as time goes forward? I’m thinking it does- much the same way that iTunes Genius gets better as it collects more data. Perhaps not, but I’ll be surprised if it isn’t.
