I’m Giving Camera+ Another Shot Thanks to Photo Stream

I’m using Camera+ (which is perpetually “on sale” for $0.99) on iOS 5 and was going to write about why I tend to prefer it over the default Camera app until I saw that Dave Caolo at 52tiger had beat me to the punch. His quick piece addresses the issue with Photo Stream that inspired me to give Camera+ another shot: Photo Stream mirrors every picture on my Camera Roll and throws it to all of my connected devices, whether I want those pictures there or not. I do want my screenshots and most of my quick snaps mirrored to my iPad, but not all of them, and it’s a little annoying that I’m not given any choice.

Camera+, on the other hand, features a Lightbox that lets me edit, pick, and choose photos before they ever reach the Camera Roll. It’s a handy enough feature that tap tap tap’s photography app has earned itself a spot on my first home screen, right beside the default Camera app.
