Pixelmator 2.0, the affordable image manipulator and Photoshop alternative, has just been updated with a lot of whiz-bang new features. I’ve been using Pixelmator on and off for the last year, and although I’m no graphics expert by a long shot, even I can appreciate the extra power under the hood in this version. Text is now much, much easier to manipulate and the tool palettes now stay noticeably out of the way, leaving me much more screen space to get my designing on.
I have yet to really play with other goodies like the content-aware filling and healing tool, but you can read more about them right on the Pixelmator homepage.
Pixelmator 2.0 is a free upgrade for those who already own the App Store version, and newcomers can pick the app up for a cool $30.
