Just as planned, Apple has launched the iPhone 4S in 22 new countries today. This comes one week after the company began accepting pre-orders for said device. The countries included in this round of releases are: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Here is where things get a little thorny. Not all of the 22 countries in this launch will be able to purchase the iPhone 4S online from Apple. Plus, this is only for unlocked devices. Customers looking to buy a subsidized model will have to go through their local carrier. Apple also quotes a 1-2 week shipping estimate on the device.
