Apple has updated the iPad GarageBand app to a universal app today – so it will now run on the iPhone and iPod Touch as well. The app is described by Apple as their ‘breakthrough music creation app’.
GarageBand features a collection of fun Touch Instruments that sound great and make it easy for beginners or experienced musicians to play and record keyboards, guitars, drums and basses in a wide variety of styles. Smart Instruments now allow you to choose from an extensive new library of custom chords so you can play and strum along with your favorite songs.
The app is $4.99 for new users – and a free update to universal for existing users of the iPad app. It will run on these iOS devices: iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPod touch (3rd & 4th generation).
Here’s an App Store link for GarageBand.
