iPhone to Launch on C Spire on November 11th

Screen Shot 2011-11-07 at 11.51.10 PM.pngLate last month it was announced that the U.S. regional carrier, C Spire, would be offering the iPhone in the near future. Well, C Spire has now announced that the iPhone 4 and 4S will launch on their network on November 11th. This of course, is the same day that Apple plans to roll out the iPhone 4S in fifteen new countries.

What’s more interesting is the fact that C Spire will be offering a $50/month plan that, in some ways, undercuts the major carriers the iPhone is already carried on. This $50/month plan comes with 500 minutes, unlimited SMS, and “unlimited” data. That said, users cannot stream any quantity of data to their device.

The information on their site does note that they allow for 30 minutes of free streaming in each 30-day billing cycle. That said, streaming remains free on C Spire until the end of the year. After that, Unlimited streaming will be a $30 add-on for each billing cycle. Alternatively, streaming passes can be purchased as follows: $5 for two hours of streaming, $10 for five hours, and $30 for 30 days.

Worth repeating from our previous report, is the fact that C Spire predominately operates in the southern United States, and utilizes the same CDMA technology that powers Verizon and Sprint’s networks. So there’s that.
