Instacast is already a great way to find and play podcasts on the iPhone, and the new HD version adapts the UI beautifully for the iPad. Instead of simply scrolling through long lists of text, Instacast HD lets you navigate your content visually with a rich set of gestures, and hides details intelligently in side panels and buttons.
What’s more, both the iPhone and iPad versions sync nicely over iCloud, so there’s literally no setup if you’re already an Instacast iPhone user. Just load the app up, toggle iCloud sync, and then tap the button to add new feeds (your feed list will populate before your eyes via the magic of the Internet!).
The timing of Instacast HD is also a little amusing to me, personally, since I was planning a post about iPhone apps that are very much worth running on the iPad. While that is actually still the case, this new HD iPad version is just so much better. Well worth the $4.99 in my book.
