It took a while for us to find a time slot to get together and talk through all the entries. Thanks to all who took part – there were quite a few good responses here.

Our three finalists were Ricardo C, April Johnson, and Dylan Seeger.

And our winner is: Dylan Seeger.

Dylan – I’ll be emailing you very soon asking for your shipping details.

And also come with a removable app that is a cydia user guide to help people new to it figure out how it works and what kind of things it can do. People who have seen the wonders of jailbreaking and wanted to do it but were too scared to cancel their warenty and apple care or mess up their phone would jump all over it.

It is not only a phone, but a way to pass the time, to literally organize your life in one convenient device. What better way to incorporate the iPhone in to your life further, but to allow it to learn to guess the user’s next move. A limited ai if you will, not allow it to become sentient, but to allow it to gain enough insight in to its owner to allow it to do an assortment of incorporated features. Apple has been investing in programs that can guess what music you like, show you what games you prefer by your past purchases. I am not saying allow it to feel like it loves you, or get mad at you and call 911 to have you arrested for electronic abuse, but for it to truly be able to guess how your feeling, of course this feature would be adjustable.

Practical uses for it would be to allow it to choose a playlist. Of course this kind of feature would require it to receive insight in to your current mood before it could create said playlist. Meaning it would have to form the playlist by the genre, artist, tempo, etc. that you are currently listening to.
Even allowing developers to integrate their applications, just like if it were to hide posts that you would really not want to say. As in a coworker was promoted to the job you had wanted. This feature would require it to have some sort of emotional input from the user, a sort of fast select interface available from the home screen, perhaps the same way silent mode is toggled.

To allow it insight in to how you are feeling, the iPhone could integrate itself further in to your life, to some this may seem too invasive, but that is why the setting could e toggled or adjusted to either preset or custom settings.

Thank you

How great would it be not to be tied to a carrier and have to sign a two year contract!

Something similar to Xfinity for the Apple TV’s. The would be powered by Apples own network while the iPhones and iPads are as well. iPhones and iPads at possibly cheaper prices because they’re now trying to compete with Verizon and At&t? A reliable network? Maybe Oregon is just the beginning of such pleasantries. Maybe even an iPod with 3G connectivity. How about a 4G network ๐Ÿ™‚ How mystifying. I hope this comment is not void because I’ve already submitted one.

Ex: computer, tv, radio player, and other possibilities

However what does seem likely is an Apple finally releasing a phone with 4G speeds.

By Fall 2012 we should finally see every major carrier, Verizon, Sprint & At&t, finally releasing their 4G LTE networks. Apple would have enough time to work with the technology so that they are able to maintain high battery life while providing the fastest speeds on every network.

With the new Cloud based memory, it seems that an application could be devised to allow you to access all of the files from your Mac via your Iphone. You would essentially be carrying your entire desktop computer in the palm of your hand.

So I donโ€™t think there is need to upgrade the processor. I would focus on improving industry based standards like adding a micro USB for charging( not the proprietary Apple Connector), HDMI port ( why should one spend extra $100 for Apple TV).
I think this things will improve user satisfaction which is very important for any company.

How about taking it swimming, water skiing, snorkeling, or scuba diving. The new iPhone 5 from Apple will have a 100% waterproof shell with a money back guarantee to come along with it. With our enhanced 8MP rear camera, take great high quality HD pictures you are use to, but in places your not.

Having had all of the iPhones except the 3G, my one killer feature would be crystal clear reception. Even my new iPhone 4S is still not as clear as the Go Phone I bought when I added a line to my service so I could upgrade my phone without having to pay the $250 upgrade fee! What gives with that? I had to return 2 iPhone 4S’s to get the one I have now due to overheating and poor reception on the first one and yellow screen on the second one. The reception on all 3, and my previous ones, has been subpar in my estimation, but I still buy them because I love everything else! These Logitech earphones could help with some of my problem! Mahalo for the chance to win.

Right now there is a large market that is already attempting to use the iPhone 5 when they are out for a bike ride. It can record the route and speed just from GPS alone, however including ANT+ would allow the person to include a speed/cadence sensor and get accurate speed results as well as just how fast they are pedaling. They could also have a power meter that could then be read by the iPhone 5. There are products out there that add ANT+ support, but they are external, flimsy, and somewhat locked down on what you can connect to it. For example, I couldn’t connect a Garmin speed/cadence sensor, a PowerTap, or a Quarq module and use the device properly.

This goes for the iPhone as well as all iOS devices – iPad and Apple TV especially. I don’t think the idea takes a lot of explanation – there are concept demos out there already – but the idea is basically that a camera and motion sensor enable navigation and control via hand gestures (like a Kinect, except not full-body).

That was the biggest disappointment with this years iPhone. The hardware/software update were accepted all right, but no one liked that it wasn’t redesigned. The iPhone would need to be thinner than the current generation of phones along with a larger screen (I think 4 inches is a good size). The resolution would need to be a multiple of the new iPad 3 resolution that way it is easy to convert applications between iPhone/iPad. So if the iPad’s resolution is the rumored 2048×1536, the iPhone needs to be somewhere around 1024×768. This would also make it able to stream HD videos from online. Of course none of this will really matter if it doesn’t have 4G technology. It think it would get left behind with all the new 4G phones, so it really needs 2 major changes 1) 4G and 2) a case redesign.
