Follow-up Report Claims Foxconn Will Likely be the Chosen Manufacturer for Apple Television Sets

Just yesterday a report surfaced from DigiTimes claiming that Apple’s manufacturing partners are prepping materials for a production run of 32 and 37-inch television sets. Today, in a follow-up post, they now claim to have information regarding the companies involved in the production process. Companies such as Samsung Electronics, Sharp, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) and Siliconware Precision Industries (SPIL) are all pinned as possible part manufactures.  
 
Most notably however, is the claim that Foxconn, Apple’s primary iOS device manufacturer, will be the company to assemble the television sets. The report now also claims that the television’s final design should be set in stone by the second quarter of next year, and a public launch sometime late next year. 
 
This report by itself is boring, I’ll be the first to admit that. However, if you add this to yesterday’s information, plus all of the information received prior, a picture forms. More than anything, this report, which of course could still be totally false, now pins companies to the product. In other words, if names are being thrown around, then something is likely stirring amongst Apple’s manufacturing partners.
