Use Notify pro on your iphone (Cydia) and install Notifo on your ipad, then you can push everything from your phone to your ipad (sms, call, other notifications…). I am sure it is not the only one way.

When someone calls us six cordless phones ring all over the house ensuring that someone hears it and is able to answer before the call goes to voice mail. Call display then lets us know if we want to answer.

If the call was instead placed to my wife’s cell phone it’s unlikely anyone would even hear her purse ringing let alone get there in time to take the call.

Having my iMac or iPad tell me that I’m missing an incoming call because my cell phone is in another part of the house would be better than not knowing, but still no substitute for having a phone in every room.
