I’m sorry to hear that you had an issue with splinters. We did notice the same thing and have changed our finishing and sanding process for all of our bamboo skins. Bamboo is actually the only wood that was “chipping” because it is more of a grass than a wood. We hand sand each one, then apply a protective finish that seals the entire top and all edges.
