Grooveshark is back on iOS with an HTML5 Web App

After a long absence, Grooveshark is back on the iPhone (and iPad, actually) thanks to a new HTML5 web app. It’s a great service that makes it easier access to all of those songs you’d like to quickly stream, but are too lazy to head to YouTube for. All you have to do is head to html5.grooveshark.com, type in the name of the song or artist you’d like to hear, and watch in awe as the Internet magically streams it to your device.

The functionality is still pretty basic: you select music, play it, or pause it. There are also stations and a Popular tab, but no playlists, favourites, or other goodies that you might know from Grooveshark.com proper. You’re also out of luck if you simply want to scrub through a song to get to your favourite part.

But that’s fine for now. Grooveshark is back on iOS, and that’s a great thing.
