My Absinthe Was Very Smooth on the iPhone 4S – How ‘Bout Yours?

It’s been a little while for me on the jailbreak front, but I have to say the Absinthe jailbreak on my iPhone 4S has been one of the smoothest I can remember.

I did not do a restore or anything special prior to applying Absinthe (I had a relatively recent backup beforehand) – just ran it straight over the top sort of thing. I used the excellent guide to jaibreaking the iPhone 4S (or iPad 2) with Absinthe provided by Jeff at iDownload Blog.

It took about 8 minutes, and about the same amount of time for Cydia to get all its packages up to date and be ready to rock. I love the fact that this jailbreak ran nicely just like an iOS update – so all my settings are intact (even down to things like Bluetooth pairings) and my iPhone 4S didn’t skip a beat.

My jailbreak was done on Sunday afternoon and so far (touch wood) I’ve had zero issues since installing it.
