The iPad’s Split Keyboard Has a Few Invisible Keys

Splitting up the iPad’s keyboard in iOS 5 is simple enough: you just pull it apart width-wise like a QWERTY pastry. Typing on this split keyboard, on the other hand, can be a challenge for some. The split layout makes it much easier to thumb type, but if you’re the kind of person who’s used to typing the letter ‘T’ with your right hand or the letter ‘B’ with your left, it certainly looks like you’re out of luck.

However, thanks to the sharp-eyed folks at Finer Things in iOS, we now know that the iOS 5 keyboard actually features a set of invisible keys where there appear to be none.  This is a terribly clever little addition by Apple – almost a little too clever, really. How on earth are everyday users supposed to find this stuff out without following sites like iSource? Blatant self-promotion zing
