I know we’re all pretty used to crazy numbers from Apple. iPhone revenues that exceed all of Microsoft’s revenues last quarter, Apple worth more than Microsoft and Google combined, more iOS devices sold last year than Macs sold in 28 years, over 550,000 apps in the App Store, and on and on. But still …

25 Billion.

The App Store is closing in on hitting the 25 billion downloads mark. That’s Billion, with a B. And that’s in less than four years, and less than two years since the iPad came out and pushed momentum among developers even higher.

Just an incredible number.

Oh, and as with other similar milestones, Apple will be awarding a whopping $10,000 App Store gift card to the lucky person who makes that 25 billionth download. You can watch the countdown widget at the Apple.com home page.
