I am looking for a laptop for University next year.
Since I have an XBOX, i just need a laptop that will get me around with multiplayer games like counter strike. Hope it does the job!

You can’t be serious! The Air is understandably lighter than the MBP but to call it a backbreaker is a bit of a stretch of the imagination in my opinion…I can barely feel my MBP when I’m carrying it…

I am in a similar situation except I am in High School and I am building websites but my MacBook Air has (almost) completely rendered my iPad useless. Especially when Mountain Lion, I will likely be wiping the dust off my iPad every 3-4 months, haha. My mac preforms superbly but the only downside for me is that I can only get about 5 hours of battery with safari, an FTP client, Taco HTML and sometimes Photoshop, but still better than what I expected for something that is .68 -> .11 inches thick.
