I downloaded Sparrow for iPhone ($2.99) when it came out a day or two ago. I’m currently using it as a Mail.app replacement. Here are some scientific questions that I have taken pains to answer for your enjoyment:

  • More fun than mail? Yes, by roughly 10,000%
  • Notifications? Nope, they were taken out, but you can use Boxcar.
  • Multiple accounts? Oh, yes. No POP, though.
  • Separate archive and delete buttons? Yes.
  • Can you get rid of the badge? Nope. Argh.
  • Send emails in background? No, so be careful when attaching large pictures.
  • Are you now waiting for the iPad version like some sort of ingrate with a pocket full of money for the developers? Oh, absolutely, yes. A million times yes.
