In jumping on a writer for taking the time to put out a review that is largely in lockstep with the tech media at-large’s concensus of the new iPad, the only thing you accomplish is revealing your own biases. Are you posting the same comments on The Verge or Engadget? Are they just as bought and paid for? If you want to criticize, fine, but how about doing it with some real discussion of valid arguments, not throwing stones at the reviewer.

No. But surprisingly, you have to work for Apple to produce superior kit, apparently.

at the end of the day, if apple products were inferior quality and rubbish – no one, myself included, would spend our hard earned cash and purchase them.

we live in a free market capitalist society. each apple purchaser makes up their own mind whether to buy or not.

It’s funny how easy you guys, buy this BS wih “retina display”. It’s not “retina display”? Apple changed their “standard”(300ppi and over) to market this Samsung’s old tech display.

I suspect he/she has never even used an apple product. Most people that lag off apple products, basically cannot afford them. There was a time when i couldn’t afford them – why buy a mac for double the cost of a windows laptop, why buy an iPhone when a much cheaper smart phone will do the job – and i used to say apple products were over rated. Not any more. I have an iPhone, macbook air and the new iPad (only because, I work hard and the one hours enables me to afford these products). Obviously if I couldn’t afford them, I wouldn’t buy them. – end of.

This reviewer, like the millions of other iPad owners who give it “thumbs up”, are all working for Apple. That’s what’s so fiendish about the company. If it weren’t for those under the table payoffs, they’d gladly reveal how awful the iPad is.

But you and I know the truth, don’t we?
