The day we have all been all been eagerly waiting for has finally arrived! iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-orders commence tonight at 12:01 am PST / 3:01 am EST. You can pre-order your iPhone 6 through your mobile phone company website or via Apple’s online store and have it delivered to your door for free.
If getting up in the wee hours of the night isn’t your thing–no worries, you can purchase your new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus on launch day at Apple and other participating retailers as early as 8 am on Friday, September 12th.
Whichever way you choose to proceed, expect delays on top of delays. In our experience over the years it has taken me less than 30 minutes to secure an online purchase, and up to 3 hours depending on how hard the servers are blasted. Note: pre-ordering your iPhone 6 tonight will not get you your phone any sooner. Even if your iPhone is ready for delivery days ahead of launch at retail stores, the parcel delivery companies (FedEx, UPS, etc) are instructed to hold the deliveries for Friday.
Good Luck, and let us know in the comments section below how it went!
