Earlier today Apple officially announced their next big event scheduled for October 16th at their Town Hall theatre in Cupertino where they are expected to announce new iPads, upgraded Mac’s and the final version of Mac OS X Yosemite. It is unclear whether they will be streaming this event, though. They did not stream the event the last time they presented at the Town Hall theatre, nor did they have much success streaming their much anticipated iPhone/Apple Watch event from the Flint Center last month.
If past history is a good measuring stick of what to expect for this event, then we should see an upgraded iPad Air 2 with a thinner, even sleeker design, upgraded processor, the addition of Touch ID and the addition of a 128 GB model just like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. iMacs are expected to get their first retina display along with our first public version of OS X Yosemite. Hopefully, Yosemite will be available immediately as a free upgrade in the Mac App Store.
It still looks like Apple Pay and iOS 8.1 will most likely be dropping later in the month, though, as Apple just released beta 2 to developers this week. Tune back in next week for all the news on what Apple talks about at the event!
